Weight Loss eludes many of us and there are all sorts of secrets proclaimed out in the media and on the internet.
You may have found wonderful strange diets or bizarre workouts. You may have tried and failed a number of times, but remember this one thing you can do it, don't let anyone tell you differently not even yourself.
One thing that is often left out for many people there is no quick fix and there is no one size fits all because as much as we like or don't like we are not all created equal, we are created with equal potential but we all have our own challenges that we must overcome.
You may be wondering where I am heading with this.
Here are some examples of challenges that stop us from losing weight and to our own rationale they are valid
I have trouble losing weight because.
I'm genetically challenged
When I get home from work I'm too tired or stressed out to exercise.
I'm too busy to prepare healthy meals
I have too much to do on top of my regular work. eg study, service to community, family etc
I don't live in a safe area
The list could go on.
As mentioned before, there is more to it than the excuses that we can come up with, it's all in your head. I'm not saying you need to see a shrink, far from it but the goals, desires that we have not only have to be worked on physically because it won't last if we don't have the mental preparation to go along with it.
Weight Loss is not just a program it is a way of life and probably needs a shift in the way we think of ourselves first before even taking any further action.
Action is vitally important but where are you going to get your motivation when it gets tedious and it will, it will be another barrier that you need to break through.
